If your child is below age 9 they should play orange ball tournaments first. Or if your child has never played a tournament and is younger than 11, they can start in orange ball tournaments.
If your child has 1500 points in orange ball tournaments, they can play green dot ball tournaments. See Net Generation Player Tracker
If your child is 9-10 they may be ready to progress from to Green Ball tournaments even if they don't have 1500 orange ball tournament points. Or if you child plays with only green balls then you may want to get a green ball assessment.
